Size.
Our bandanas are all 24″ x 24″ with hemmed edges.
Dye Sublimation.
The designs are printed on one side using dye sublimation, a process that uses heat to turn the ink into a gas and that embeds the color into the fabric. This process produces high resolution designs with vivid and vibrant colors. Because of the process, polyester fabric is used, as it accepts the dye better than other fabrics.
Care.
To preserve the vibrancy of the colors for as long as possible, the ideal care of the bandanas is:
- wash in cold water
- use the delicate cycle
- do not use bleach
- hang to dry
However, our bandanas will not shrink if you wash them in warm or hot water using a more aggressive cycle and then dry them in a dryer. Moreover, we have found that doing so the first two or three times you wash them gives the fabric a silky feel that we like. Finally, they’re priced pretty reasonably, so you may decide, as we have, that it’s easiest just to toss them in with the rest of your laundry and not worry about it.
Do Not Use as a Face Mask.
Bandanas are not appropriate for use as a face mask intended to inhibit viral or bacterial infection of the wearer or the community. Please use a NIOSH-approved N95 or KN95 mask instead.
